Chicony Power’s product portfolio covers a wide range of applications, including power products for emerging applications, power solutions for servers and big data centers, power products for smart home devices, and high-wattage power supplies for gaming computers. A stable power supply unit is the key to ensuring product performance and longevity — often referred to as the “heart” of electronic products.
Chicony Power’s sustainability management extends beyond its own operations. By proactively building a value chain management model, the Company seeks to properly manage the potential indirect environmental and social impacts of its supply chain and achieve its green sustainability goals. Within value chain management, customer satisfaction is not only a fundamental responsibility of sustainable operations but also the most powerful marketing tool and language. With high-quality pre-sales and after-sales services, the Company ensures customers’ confidence in choosing its products, thereby enhancing the value and competitiveness of customers’ products in the global market.
Chicony Power continues to advance energy-saving innovations in power products by actively integrating third-generation semiconductor materials — Gallium Nitride (GaN) and Silicon Carbide (SiC) — into the design of next-generation power supplies. These materials feature superior characteristics such as high-speed switching and low on-resistance, which can significantly improve power conversion efficiency and effectively reduce the size of core components such as transformers. This achieves the dual benefits of reduced raw material usage and product miniaturization.
The Company provides and collaborates with automotive OEMs in the design and development of various interior and exterior lighting modules. Its design teams are capable of independently developing and producing all aspects of product design, including styling, optics, structure, electronics, and thermal management. Chicony Power has already partnered with multiple automotive OEMs in Mainland China to develop and mass-produce LED headlamp module products.
For example, in common commercial heavy trucks, a 30W LED high/low beam module can replace a traditional 140W H7 high/low beam set, reducing energy consumption by nearly 80%. In addition, with optimized optical design, the system improves road illumination brightness by over 10% and expands the lighting range by more than twofold.
Chicony Power holds a leading advantage in the field of energy management and is actively advancing toward smart, energy-saving lifestyle technologies. Its core product, the IWA Smart Integration Platform, integrates elements of environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance (ESG) into product design and planning, hardware–software integration, and professional energy consulting services. Through this platform, the Company provides global customers with comprehensive solutions that deliver sustainable value.
Patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets are the core constituents of intellectual property rights. Based on product development characteristics, Chicony Power prioritizes patents, and then trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights to protect the Company’s products and technologies.
Note: The statistics cover all countries and regions in which patents were filed or published, including Taiwan, Mainland China, the United States, the European Union, and Japan.
Chicony Power has formulated the Restricted Substance Control Standards to provide suppliers and internal procurement, quality control, and R&D teams with guidelines for hazardous substances control. The substances subject to Chicony Power’s environmental management include prohibited substances, restricted substances, and self-managed substances. The purpose of substance control is to prevent parts materials, components, modules, secondary materials, and packaging materials that contain hazardous substances from being mixed into Chicony Power’s products so that the Company can comply with domestic and international laws and regulations, meet customers’ requirements, protect the environment, and reduce its impact on ecosystems.
Chicony Power’s major production factories (Suzhou, Chongqing, and Dongguan) have all passed QC 080000 (Hazardous Substance Process Management System) verification. “Process-oriented” approaches have been adopted for the management of hazardous substance use in products, through which the hazardous substances contained in manufactured or supplied products can be identified, managed, controlled, quantified, and reported during process development operations. Additionally, the Company monitors changes in important international regulations, such as RoHS2.0 (2011/65/EU & 2015/863/EU), REACH-SVHC, and Halogen-Free, and promptly updates relevant content in its internal control documents.
Chicony Power has formulated standardized supplier management procedures, which are the basis for assessing and auditing suppliers’ performance in labor rights, environmental protection, and health and safety management. Improvement measures are developed based on the assessment results to assist suppliers in making continuous progress, so that the Company can reduce supply chain operational risks and build partnerships for sustainable development. When selecting new suppliers, supplier assessment and audit teams conduct assessments in accordance with the Operating Procedures for New Supplier Assessments, with the aim of choosing suitable and excellent suppliers.
1. Supplier Assessment and Audit Team : The team is composed of personnel from purchasing or procurement, quality control, green products, parts engineering, and R&D units. Auditors’ eligibility should be confirmed, and assessments should be completed before orders are officially placed.
2. Timing of Supplier Assessments : Assessments should be conducted when the Company has a need for new technology, new parts, or needs related to quality, costs, or delivery.
3. Content of Supplier Audits : The aforementioned Supplier Assessment and Audit Team should conduct assessments focusing on four major dimensions: suppliers’ business transaction management system, product design and development or engineering management, management of hazardous substance use, and quality assurance system management. The key points of the assessment are listed in the table below.
To align with international standards for sustainable supply chains, Chicony Power requires all suppliers to comply with the RBA Code of Conduct, which covers five key aspects: labor and human rights, health and safety, environmental protection, ethics, and management systems. This strengthens the Company’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility across its supply chain.
The Company has developed and implemented a supplier self-assessment mechanism, requiring major suppliers to complete the RBA Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) on an annual basis, complemented by either online or on-site audits. The results are incorporated into the evaluation criteria of the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings with suppliers.
In 2024, based on RBA equivalent standards, Chicony Power conducted assessments on a total of 184 first-tier suppliers worldwide, representing approximately 40% of the Company’s total first-tier supplier base.
To ensure that materials used in the supply chain comply with the Restricted Substance Control Standards, Chicony Power has implemented a Green Product Management (GPM) system for centralized data management and automated comparison. This system establishes a clear and automated supplier data review process.
Through systematic workflows and management mechanisms, the Company can effectively monitor supply chain compliance, ensuring that all product materials meet the environmental requirements of the Restricted Substance Control Standards. At the same time, the system enhances information transparency and risk control in collaboration with suppliers.
Chicony Power supports international values on human rights and sustainability responsibility and strictly enforces its Responsible Minerals Sourcing Policy. The Company firmly rejects the use of conflict minerals originating from armed conflict regions, including Tin (Sn), Tantalum (Ta), Tungsten (W), and Gold (Au), as well as extending to other high-risk raw materials such as Cobalt (Co) and Mica.
